Andrew commenced his career as a practicing solicitor in some of Brisbane’s leading law firms prior to moving into a commercial role in the resources industry.
Andrew services both the private and public sectors in relation to complex and high value commercial arrangements (including in relation to contracting strategy, contract formation, contract negotiation and resolution of claims).
This experience includes mine developments and infrastructure projects throughout Queensland, Western Australia, Africa and Asia and across multiple commodities and sectors. Andrew’s recent experience includes being a commercial advisor to Gladstone Ports Corporation Limited in relation to the Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal and the LNG Projects on Curtis Island, and assisting multiple mining companies with the development of contracting strategies and the preparation and negotiation of scopes of work and contract documentation for multi-billion dollar infrastructure and mining services contracts.
Practical and hands on experience has enabled Andrew to understand the link between the technical and commercial requirements of a project, ensuring greater outcomes for his clients.
