JukesTodd Adds New Aviation Services Client


A major Australian airline has engaged JukesTodd to provide capital project independent review services for the planned ~$3 billion Melbourne International Airport expansion.


This review includes the scope and cost appropriateness of proposed upgrades of the road network, check-in and baggage handling systems, terminal and gate infrastructure upgrades and plane runway and taxi infrastructure.


This work will be performed by numerous JT personnel including Michael Wright who has recently joined JT as an Advisor – Aviation following a 35yr career in airport operations.


JukesTodd is excited to build on its successful delivery of Aviation Services as it continues to provide advisory, commercial, design management and project management services to Brisbane Airport Corporation in the delivery of the New Parallel Runway Project.


New Project – Alacer Gold

JukesTodd is pleased to advise that we have been awarded an order to provide risk management services to the operational and corporate services functions of Alacer Gold Inc. We have been providing similar services to Alacer’s subsidiary Anagold’s expansion project in Turkey for the last 18 months, adding material value to the project’s cost and schedule performance.


New Project – MACH Energy, Mt Pleasant Project

JukesTodd has been engaged by MACH Energy Australia (MACH) to provide various advisory and project development support services for the Mt Pleasant Mine project in the NSW Hunter Valley recently acquired from Rio Tinto.  JukesTodd’s scope includes:

  • Review and completion of the Bankable Feasibility Study
  • Execution strategy development
  • Negotiation and award of the mining package
  • Assistance in the negotiation and award of the major construction packages

Due to the size and complexity of the project, a number of JT personnel will be involved in the delivery of the services.


Welcome to JukesTodd – Adrian Relf

Adrian Relf has joined JukesTodd in the position of Principal –  Commercial and Advisory based in the Brisbane office. Adrian will be providing advice and assistance to a range of clients on a variety of commercial matters including,  project development strategies, dispute resolution, contract preparation and review and negotiation of commercial agreements.

Adrian has over 20 years’ experience as a private practice lawyer, in house lawyer and senior executive in operational and commercial roles across the legal, mining services and tourism sectors. He has acted for both public and private sector clients in the infrastructure, industrial, mining and mining services sectors and has been in-house counsel to a leading global mining equipment manufacturer and most recently an ASX listed minerals processing engineering contractor. This experience includes the negotiation of major equipment supply, operations, EPC and EPCM contracts for mining projects in Australia, Africa, Asia, North America and South America across commodities including coal, iron ore, manganese, gold, copper, zinc and mineral sands.  He has also been involved in development and implementation of strategies for tender, contract and dispute resolution processes. Adrian has led corporate development and governance functions including advising private and listed company Boards, developing corporate strategy and leading due diligence and deal teams on international M&A and investment transactions.


New Acland Coal Stage 3 Expansion Construction Management Contract Awarded to JukesTodd

JukesTodd is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Construction Management Consultant (CMC) contract for the New Acland Coal Stage 3 Expansion (NAC3) Project by New Hope Group Limited.  The CMC scope of services include:

  • Health, Safety and Training
  • Risk Management
  • Contract Administration
  • Construction Management
  • Quality Assurance
  • Commissioning
  • Support and interface with the below NAC3 and other related functions:
    – Environment and Community Relations
    – Document Control and Project Controls
    – Design
    – Procurement and
    – Operational Readiness

Being an open process, JukesTodd competitively tendered this contract competing across the market against a large number of organisations including well established and credentialed tier one project management and engineering firms.

The award of this contract further demonstrates JukesTodd’s ability to offer a genuine alternative for our clients and that our delivery model provides real value in a challenging environment.

JukesTodd will work as part of an integrated owners team with New Hope to deliver the NAC3 Project.  The scope of the project includes:

  • Development of a new mining area
  • An extension to the life of mine to 2029
  • An increase in mining production to 7.5Mtpa of product coal
  • Construction of a new Materials Handling Facility
  • An upgrade of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) complex, ROM area and product coal stockpile areas and supporting infrastructure
  • A new train loadout facility including an 8km rail spur and balloon loop
  • Decommissioning of the existing train loadout facility
  • Relocation and potential upgrade of the HV Electrical distribution system
